about us
CaVu
Ken and Peggie met in the mid 1980s, and began singing and writing songs together within days of their first meeting. During the early years in Santa Cruz, California, different band configurations were tried, until they found and developed the sound that is now CAVU.
In 1993, CAVU independently released their first recording Infinite Swirling Acoustic Joy on cassette. Metro One Records chose one of these songs for its internationally distributed compilation disc, Hi!. CAVU then began to hear positive feedback from people all over America, as well as Europe. In 1994, Ken and Peggie moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and released their first CD,
A Little Conversation, which received unsolicited air play on several stations in the US and in Canada. In 1997, Infinite Swirling Acoustic Joy was
re-mastered and re-released as a CD. In 1999. the Balcoms moved to Mesa, AZ. Their third project, The Weatherman in the Missle Age, was released in 2001. Rise Up was started in December 2009, and completed in February 2010. And the latest CD, Holy Child, was released in December 2011 in time for Christmas.
CAVU is currently performing around Arizona, and is in the recording studio working on several new CD projects.
